1. Aztec Cycling Line Up
Instagram Stories Series
2023 / 2024 School Year
2024 / 2025 School Year

While in executive positions for the Aztec Cycling Club at San Diego State University, I wanted to bring the team back to light, after being basically dead for so long. In this attempt, I had decided to create a sort of  “rider line up”, influenced by the line ups displayed in the 2023 Tour De France, most notably that of Lidl Trek. I thought of this as a great way to show the community what the team is up to, and when, in hopes of more support for the team, and to attract potential new members.

2. Make Noise Not War
Screenprint
Spring Semester 2025

My friend Sebastian had made the initial design, and asked if I could help him screenprint some shirts for him. Of course, wanting to get more process into my portfolio, I obliged, and produced these to his specificatoins. Unfortunately, after a select few of the shirts had gone through the wash, the ink started to fade. I took this as a learning lesson, perhaps I could coat the screen stronger, and apply more pressure or a second pass next time around.

3. 75 In Sac - Glosephh
Music Video
Summer 2024

My cousin is a rapper under the name Glosephh. Over the summer, and the spring semester leading into it, I had offered to mess around with some of his songs, and clips to help me teach myself Premier Pro. It was hard to learn, but once I had an idea of where I wanted the video to go, it was pretty fun to make! He ended up never using the video, but it was still nice to have something that I had made myself in the program.

4. Riot
Screenprint
Spring Semester 2025

My friend Sebastian had made the initial design, and asked if I could help him screenprint some shirts for him. Of course, wanting to get more process into my portfolio, I obliged, and produced these to his specifications. This being a one off shirt with a matching sweatshirt, came out much better than the last print I had. I believe that more pressure, and more passes of paint, mixed with more runs through the heater really made the difference. My friend was much happier with this turnout.

5. “Lovers Rock” CD Case
Valentine’s Day, 2025

I typically make something personal for my girlfriend when it comes to holidays. This Valentine’s Day was no different.  Towards the beginning of our relationship, an important song for the both of us was “Lovers Rock” by TV Girl. Here, I took heavy inspiration from their album cover, but replacing the figures there for an image of me, and my girlfriend. I then made an accompanying backside with a track list, and  formatted it to fit to a standard CD case.

6. Mantra Cycles
Screenprint
Fall Semester 2025

Another Sebastian production, this was to get more screenprint production under my belt. A one colour print, I made sure to learn from my previous mistakes that had lead to the plastisol fading away after a wash, and made sure to pass through the heater more than once to ensure the ink had settled in.  The black had come out great on the coloured shirts given to me, and I am happy with the way the ink had set. However, one thing that had gotten me was the emulsion peeling at the very top of the design, causing the tip to have a sort of “faded” effect. There was also a moment in the beginning, where I had not clean my screen correctly, causing black dots to appear where I did not want them.

I am an alumni of San Diego State University, where I studied graphic design. I was raised in Sacramento, and enjoy cycling as a sport. I work primarily on screens, using the Adobe Suite, but enjoy print as well, including screen printing, and book binding. I particularly enjoy working in a z-axis, and using textures such as half tones, and other dither techniques.

I have worked in the local bike shop industry for the last four years, as both a wrench, and a salesman. Understanding the mechanical details of bikes, and their components. I specialize in road bikes, building, maintaining, and tuning high end systems that come into the shops I’ve been in.

I have leadership experience as President of Aztec Cycling Club at San Diego State University. In my time there, starting in my freshman year as general member, then Secretary to President, I have made notable improvements to the team such as establishing a faculty advisor / head coach, improving relations with other Clubs, such as the Triathlon Club, who we frequently have practices / social rides with. With the help of the new Coach, we had also managed to raise over $3 thousand, far more than the previous administrations after the team took a major hit to morale during the pandemic.

Cheers,

1. Nike Shoe Box
Packaging design, and print
Spring Semester, 2025 (Packaging Design)

Nike Shoe Box Design utilizing Nike’s branding guidelines, and implementing our own design based on Pop Artists of our choosing, and highlighting a prominent athelete in their field. Deliverables included series of 11x17 research boards highlighting  influences, athlete insights, and design directions, leading to a tangible shoebox.

2. Passion Guidebook - Cycling in San Diego
Fall 2024 (Typography II)

The task for this project was to explore our personal passion, and share it via a guidebook. Using imagery, text, and colour. The goal being to create a comprehensive, and extensive guidebook centered around my personal passion, cycling. This guidebook would serve as a source of knowledge for all cycling enthusiasts. Whether they be a weekend warrior, or a crit champion, this book would offer a blend of expert tips, gear recommendations, and an insight to the cycling scene of San Diego, California. Then, we were tasked to create an accompanying app that would act as an extension to what was displayed in the book.

3. Bunny Gunna
Screenprint
Fall 2024

This project was for my screen printing class. The project was to create a character for a "monster flip book" based of those made for children. The class would make their own character, we would all screen print on a piece of paper, and the professor would help us to bind all the papers together to make a booklet. Then, the individual students could print their character onto an item of their choosing. I chose to create a character based on "Maina chan" from the Tokyo ID in Japan. My friend is a Japan native, and I wanted to send him a shirt to remind him of his time in the states. I joined Maina Chan with a person holding a gun to symbolize the Americana persona.

4. Tower Bridge Infographic Poster
Fall Semester 2025

This project focused on taking a landmark of our choosing, using infographics to display data to tell the story of said landmark. Here, I chose the Sacramento Tower Bridge, as it has a lot of meaning to me. The bridge, being from my hometown of Sacramento, has been a central part of my time there, as I have crossed it many times, during social rides, or longer treks through the city. For this poster, I decided to go minimal on the colour, only highlighting important details with colours that represent the city, and the surrounding culture, including yellow to represnet the Oakland A’s who are currently stationed in Sacramento, with the bridge being visible from their stadium.
